Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administrator/Reception Assistant to provide efficient and accessible administrative support for the smooth running and effective management of our establishment.
As an Administrator/Reception Assistant, you will be responsible for helping to establish and maintain a well-organised office, building positive relationships and effective communications with our employees, students, and partners outside of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of meetings and reviews.
- Taking notes/minutes of meetings.
- Ensuring deadlines are met, organising schedules, liaising with external agencies and local authorities on behalf of the Headteacher and other senior staff.
- Responsibility for undertaking administrative and organisational processes within the school.
- Maintaining the Reception, dealing with enquiries and providing general clerical support.
- Maintaining information databases, both manual and computerised.
- Attending and participating in regular meetings in school with support staff and in any additional or appropriate service training days.
Requirements:
- Experience in taking minutes of meetings.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front of office representative or similar role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Experience of using a range of office IT packages e.g., Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.

We are an Ofsted-registered co-education specialist day and residential school with a registered children's home. We provide education and care, supported by our multi-disciplinary clinical team, for children and young people aged 7-19 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism or whose profile of need can be successfully supported by the use of autism specialist strategies.
Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice. We will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of a safeguarding check.
