Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our team at CV Library. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for scoping and selling audio-visual and collaborative solutions from concept to delivery, while maintaining high technical expertise and salesmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales (60%)
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences
    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely and accurate information
    • Present solutions to customers and negotiate sales agreements
    • Prospect new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
  2. Sales Administration (20%)
    • Prepare and revise quotations, using an online system to ensure accuracy and efficiency
    • Develop and manage project scopes of work to meet customer requirements
    • Accurately forecast sales and manage customer expectations
    • Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure successful project delivery
  3. Suppliers (10%)
    • Stay up-to-date with new product releases and features to provide informed solutions to customers
    • Source new products and services to enhance our offerings
    • Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and organized workspace
    • Stay aware of and contribute to the development of IMS and Quality Policy
Critical Success Factors
  1. Achieve revenue and profit targets through effective sales and business development
  2. Optimize the profitability of each account within the customer portfolio
  3. Build and enhance effective relationships at senior management level
  4. Effectively manage customer needs and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
  1. Two years of audiovisual experience, with a strong understanding of AV technology and solutions
  2. Minimum two years of external sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  4. Self-motivated and highly professional, with the ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility
  5. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines
  6. A desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge, with a fast learning ability and enthusiasm for new challenges
  7. Adaptable and flexible to business demands, with strong organizational and planning skills
  8. Positive 'can-do' attitude, with a team player mentality and effective communication and presentation skills
  9. Ability to present proposals to individuals and groups in a compelling fashion, with good numeracy and written skills
  10. Intermediate PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
