Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery, including vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, and carpet shampooers.
  • Use chemicals and cleaning products responsibly and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Empty clinical and general waste bins and place bags in designated areas.
  • Participate in terminal cleans and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist with bioquell Q50-HPV decontamination duties and adhere to all relevant procedures and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning service.
Requirements:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols.
