Job Summary:

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Diversity and Inclusion Officer - Supply Chain Specialist. This role will be based within our West of Scotland Rehabilitation & Mobility Centre (WestMARC) in Yoker Depot.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with our purchasing team to manage the procurement and allocation of stock with a turnover value of approximately £7 million per annum. This will involve working with a range of stakeholders, including clinical teams, to ensure that our rehabilitation technology services are delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement and allocation of stock, ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with NHS procurement policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to understand their needs and ensure that our rehabilitation technology services meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that we are getting the best value for money.
  • Contribute to the development of our procurement strategy, ensuring that it is aligned with the needs of our organisation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of SVQ level 3 in supply chain activity.
  • Experience of working in a purchasing environment, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Working Hours:

This role will be based in Yoker Depot, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.
