About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice In Your Home team. As a Palliative Care Assistant, you will work under the direct or indirect supervision of HIYH Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care to patients in their own homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support patients with personal care, assistance with moving and handling, and emotional support for symptom management.
  • Work collaboratively with Community Nursing and Social Care Teams to help patients remain in their preferred place of care.
  • Travel within the geographical boundaries of Nottinghamshire Hospice's referral criteria.
Requirements
  • Healthcare Assistant experience with a minimum of NVQ Level two or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
