**Job Title:** Automation / Controls Engineer Automotive

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at RBW Consulting. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems and automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Control Systems: Develop and implement control systems and automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal production for safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to optimize production processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and Maintain Automation Standards: Create and maintain automation standards and documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve control system and automation equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support for automation equipment and software, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Create Maintenance Plans: Develop and implement maintenance plans for manufacturing and packing equipment software, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Stay Updated on Automation Technology: Stay current with the latest automation technology and industry regulations, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
  • Share Expertise: Share expertise with colleagues to improve understanding and performance, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Create Task Instructions: Develop and implement task instructions for Controls and Automation tasks, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Participate in Design and Commissioning: Participate in the design and commissioning of new production facilities and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Ensure Program Data Security: Ensure program data security in accordance with Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
  • Maintain Database of Optimal Program Settings: Maintain a database of optimal program settings for equipment recovery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Design and Write PLC, HMI, and SCADA Control System Software: Design and write PLC, HMI, and SCADA control system software, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Work with Third-Party Specialists: Collaborate with third-party specialists to implement best practices for machine software, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Develop and Execute Validation Protocols: Develop and execute validation protocols for control systems and automation equipment, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Troubleshooting and Resolving Control and Automation Systems Issues: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve control and automation systems issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
  • Knowledge of PLC/HMI Systems: Knowledge of PLC/HMI systems like Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Background in Pharmaceutical or Biotech Environments: Background in pharmaceutical or biotech environments, ensuring understanding of regulatory requirements and optimal performance.
  • Experience in GMP-Regulated Manufacturing Environments: Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
  • Proven Track Record in Driving Continuous Improvement Projects: Proven track record in driving continuous improvement projects, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and optimal performance.
