Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team at RBW Consulting. In this role, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain control systems and automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Control Systems: Develop and implement control systems and automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal production for safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Automation Standards and Documentation: Develop and maintain automation standards and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve control system and automation equipment issues, providing technical support and guidance to colleagues.
  • Maintenance and Upkeep: Create maintenance plans for manufacturing and packing equipment software, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Industry Knowledge and Best Practices: Stay updated on automation technology and industry regulations, sharing expertise with colleagues to improve understanding and performance.
  • Task Instructions and Commissioning: Create and implement task instructions for Controls and Automation tasks, participating in the design and commissioning of new production facilities and equipment.
  • Program Data Security: Ensure program data security in accordance with Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements, maintaining a database of optimal program settings for equipment recovery.
  • Software Development: Design and write PLC, HMI, and SCADA control system software, working with third-party specialists to implement best practices for machine software.
  • Validation and Testing: Develop and execute validation protocols for control systems and automation equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Proficient Troubleshooting: Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving control and automation systems issues.
  • PLC/HMI Systems: Knowledge of PLC/HMI systems like Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi.
  • Pharmaceutical Experience: Background in pharmaceutical or Biotech environments.
  • GMP-Regulated Manufacturing: Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proven track record in driving continuous improvement projects.
