About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and an electrical bias. You will be responsible for addressing machinery breakdowns swiftly and efficiently to minimize downtime, conducting planned preventative maintenance to ensure long-term reliability of all equipment, and playing a key role in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Breakdown Response: Respond to machinery breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the reliability of all equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • New Machinery Installation: Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive attitude towards continuous improvements.
