Technical Placements Ltd is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at a large manufacturing site near Maidstone, Kent.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the site Superintendent with onsite logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, materials, and information within the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate stock levels, both onsite and offsite
  • Coordinate and verify all shipments in and out of the site
  • Oversee payroll, shift cover, and holiday logistics
  • Manage CRM customer complaints system
  • Ensure seamless integration with TMS/Autostore/SAP systems
  • Control and manage hauliers when on site and address any issues
  • Inspect and verify trailer integrity
Finished Product Deliveries to Customers:
  • Manage Logistics Office when Superintendent is away
  • Address product supply issues and onsite haulier issues
  • Liaise with Production Planners or Mill Production team
  • Coordinate transport arrangements via scheduling of loading/delivery times using mill business systems
  • Ensure on-time deliveries, accurate load specifications, and maximise OTIF, load transport weights, and ensure load safety and quality standards
Warehouse and Materials Yard Operations:
  • Supervise and manage Warehouse Operators when required
  • Maintain accurate receipt and storage of materials from production
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Manage customer complaints/returns when required
  • Support management of third-party contractors for warehouse activities when Superintendent is away
  • Ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Manage mill business systems when required
  • Manage Materials Handling Equipment and report faults
