Transport Operations Support Assistant

About the role
As a key member of our Distribution Centre team, you will provide exceptional support to our operations, ensuring seamless delivery of products to our stores. Your primary focus will be on completing administrative tasks and providing clerical support in the delivery service function, allowing our teams to operate efficiently and safely.
You will be responsible for
- Providing operational support to colleagues and managers by completing handovers, responding to queries, and maintaining accurate records.
- Manning the Goods Out desk, issuing drivers with assigned work, and conducting pre-briefs to ensure smooth operations.
- Collating and reporting information to support a safe and efficient delivery service operation.
- Liaising with other operational areas as required to maintain effective communication.
- Completing administrative checks and routines in line with our operating model policies and procedures.
- Supporting the delivery service team managers by completing tasks and providing administrative assistance.
- Handing over to colleagues and drivers, ensuring continuity of operations.
You will need
- You will be able to work collaboratively with the team, share knowledge, and best practices to deliver results.
- You will be warm and welcoming in every interaction with customers and colleagues, responding to people appropriately and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and recognised.
- You will use your energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging environments, keeping focus on objectives and ensuring our Distribution Centre standards are maintained.
- You will be aware of what our competitors are doing and continually identify ways to improve our Distribution Centre for customers.
