Operations Director

Swegon Ltd. is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our manufacturing operations in the Waterloo area of the business.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong operational background and experience in manufacturing or a similar industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading teams, developing strategies, and implementing improvements to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the operational teams responsible for planning, production management, and quality control.
2. Develop and implement a long-term operations strategy to support business growth ambitions.
3. Monitor and control safety, quality, capacity, and cost through the production process from raw material to finished goods.
4. Maintain an up-to-date overview of plant maintenance, equipment life expectancy, and availability.
5. Manage stores and materials efficiently.
6. Engage with technical, engineering, customer services, and other departments to align with their objectives.
7. Establish and sustain a continuous improvement culture across the production team.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing or a related industry.

Desirable Qualifications

• Background in procurement and supply chain leadership.
• ERP and systems knowledge.

Essential Education

• Degree in Business Management, Business Studies, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
