Overview of the Position
The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in overseeing accounting and management reporting for operational divisions. This position requires close collaboration with the operational management team to ensure that effective financial controls are established and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and nurture a team of 3 Senior Finance Analysts Establish a commercial partnership with middle and senior operational management, delivering essential metrics and analyses to support informed commercial decision-making Enhance financial awareness across all levels of the organization, emphasizing the importance of cost and revenue considerations in business decisions Compile monthly management accounts, including variance analyses and reconciliations, to meet reporting deadlines and provide insightful feedback on financial performance Present monthly financial results to divisional Finance Business Partners and other senior personnel, including operational teams, to facilitate a clear understanding of profitability Prepare calculations for landfill void, capital, and provisions Oversee and manage monthly CAPEX reporting, providing forecast updates to ensure budget compliance Develop budgets, forecasts, and five-year plans for the landfill business unit to ensure timely and accurate planning Supervise balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee adherence to established controls Enhance business processes and systems while translating complex data into relevant management information, proactively identifying and recommending profit improvement opportunities for the business unit Address end-of-year audit inquiries to assist in the approval of year-end accounts.
Essential Qualifications
Qualified accountant Experience in supporting and influencing operational colleagues Management accounting experience in service, logistics, or waste sectors is advantageous Proven experience in managing and developing a small team Strong proficiency in systems, including advanced Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
