The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial management and reporting for operational divisions. Collaborating closely with the operational leadership team, you will ensure that effective financial controls are established and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 3 Senior Finance Analysts Foster a collaborative partnership with middle and senior operational management, delivering critical metrics and analyses to support informed commercial decision-making Enhance financial awareness across all levels of the organization, emphasizing the importance of cost and revenue considerations in business decisions Compile monthly management accounts, including variance analyses and reconciliations, to meet reporting timelines and provide insightful feedback on financial performance Present monthly financial results to divisional Finance Business Partners and senior management, including operational teams, to facilitate understanding of profitability Prepare calculations for landfill void, capital, and provisions Oversee and manage monthly CAPEX reporting, preparing forecast updates to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints Develop budgets, forecasts, and five-year plans for the landfill business unit to meet planning deadlines with precision Supervise balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that financial controls are effectively implemented Streamline business processes and systems while translating complex data into relevant management information, proactively identifying and recommending profit enhancement opportunities for the business unit Address end-of-year audit inquiries to facilitate the approval of year-end financial statements.
Essential Qualifications
Qualified accountant Proven experience in supporting and influencing operational colleagues Management accounting experience in service, logistics, or waste sectors is advantageous Experience in managing and developing a small team Strong proficiency in systems, including advanced Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
