About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Youth Worker to join our team at Salsa Catering & Special Events Inc. As a Trainee Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young people with complex needs, including SEMH and SEN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with complex SEMH and SEN needs in a variety of settings, including academic and communicative development.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored support for young people with additional requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality educational and personal development sessions, including 1-1 and small group work.
  • Create interactive and academically enriched learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Provide academic support and pastoral care to pupils, promoting their overall development and well-being.
Person Specification
  • Preferred experience in psychiatric units, Health & Social Care, residential, or youth offending settings.
  • Ability to take note of and act on issues relating to the well-being and safeguarding of children.
  • Prescient behavior management skills and a profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child's development.
  • Willingness to undertake training days and professional development opportunities.
