Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent supplier in the Aerospace and Defence sector, is seeking a skilled Project Planner/Controller to contribute to their project management efforts.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering best practices in project planning, collaborating closely with the Business Performance Management Team and Technical Teams. Your expertise will ensure the effective development, deployment, and management of the Primavera Integrated Plan Network, while upholding the company’s standards in Planning and Scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze ongoing project progress and performance, evaluating against contractual and internal benchmarks to identify variances and their causes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and propose actions to enhance project progress.
- Establish and maintain the Overall Project Schedule in alignment with company standards.
- Mentor and develop Planning Skills within the Project Team, guiding Engineering, Production, and Project Management members in best practices.
- Integrate all Work Package plans to create a cohesive network that meets company standards.
- Manage the Projects Performance Measurement Baseline and support Work Package teams in monthly updates.
- Produce and distribute Project Schedule Data as required, advising on conflicts and corrective measures.
- Oversee the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and implement as necessary.
- Conduct Project Critical Path Analysis in accordance with company standards.
- Foster collaborative relationships with engineers and the broader team to embed project control standards and deliver timely, accurate project performance data.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Primavera and SAP PS, along with proficiency in industry-standard computing applications, particularly spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively within diverse teams comprising various skill sets (Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Project Management, etc.).
- Proven experience in Commercial and Financial management.
- A proactive team player with the ability to inspire others, demonstrating assertiveness and strong negotiation skills.
