Industrial Planning Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Industrial Planning Specialist. As a key member of our Industrial Planning & Capability area, you will play a crucial role in supporting the building of a new manufacturing function. Your responsibilities will include reviewing future demand to ensure appropriate industrial planning and investment is captured. You will also develop manufacturing systems and processes in response to the defined Manufacturing Architecture and the Manufacturing, Inspection and Test Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation and approval of manufacturing and test instruction documentation.
  • Manage and report against own work programmes, including analysis of risk, to ensure work is delivered against accountabilities.
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Support the Industrial Planning & Capability Manager and the Manufacturing Engineering Managers during the preparation and proving of the Production System for IVM (Initial Validation of Manufacture) and VMS (Validated Manufacturing System) approval.

Requirements:
  • Formal Technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 AND Formal further education certificate to HNC Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject OR BEng in relevant Engineering Degree and a substantial level of experience.
  • Experience in engineering leadership / management.
  • Experience in CI & Lean Manufacturing activities and tools.
  • Good Planning and Organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives.
