JOB TITLE: Ecommerce Manager

SALARY: £50,000

LOCATION: Newcastle (hybrid working)

About the Role

BMC Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to join a prestigious consumer brand based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This position is integral to the global ecommerce and marketing team, focusing on creating an exceptional online shopping experience that aligns with the brand's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely execution of the project roadmap in line with the D2C strategy.
  • Initiate 'test and learn' projects for the new website and lead a continuous improvement program for user experience.
  • Oversee all third-party software utilized on the website to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Partner with the trading department to ensure the website is aligned with the merchandising calendar.
  • Coordinate with regional managers to implement localization strategies for various markets.
  • Manage the daily operations of the e-commerce platforms.
  • Encourage collaboration among diverse teams (Content, Development, Customer Service) to enhance user experiences across the e-commerce sites.
  • Monitor website performance and key performance indicators daily to optimize user journeys and forecast outcomes.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports against core KPIs.
  • Establish and uphold standards and best practices for website maintenance, product management, and content management.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in e-commerce and user experience, providing insights to drive business growth.

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced e-commerce management environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and inform marketing strategies.
  • Solid commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Proven experience in agency and/or team management.
