Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Superintendent to join our team at Navis Consulting. As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the efficient operations of our ships and will work closely with our ship management team to ensure the safe, economic, and efficient operation of our vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical aspects of our vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including statutory and classification surveys.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent technical and operational non-conformities.
- Collaborate with our fleet manager to improve our maintenance system and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
- Plan, control, and execute all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, conversion, or modification of assigned vessels.
- Build and maintain effective liaison with relevant authorities, including class and flag state survey and certificate requirements.
Requirements:
- Recognised Engineering (Chief/2nd engineer unlimited license) or Naval Architecture qualification and/or relevant experience at sea.
- Excellent communication and English language skills.
- Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent in a Leisure/Cruise Technical Department.
- Financial understanding and experience in administering budgets.
- Diesel Electric and Podded Drive experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of Complex Automation systems either in the Shore management or experience.
