About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to join our Inpatient Services team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFT. As a key member of the ward team, you will be responsible for managing the Ward Secretarial/Administration Service and providing administrative support to the ward team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the ward administration service, ensuring a smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support to the ward team, including secretarial duties, data entry, and report generation.
  • Supervise and support the ward administration team, including line management, appraisals, and training.
  • Liaise with ward staff, medical secretaries, medical records, patients affairs, and other departments as required.
  • Monitor and manage ward budgets, including stationery, office/ward equipment, furniture, and fittings.
  • Input data onto the Paris patient information system and produce reports as required.
  • Set up and maintain case notes in good order.
  • Support the team in effective and smooth running of the wards.

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator with a good understanding of the need for confidentiality and the ability to work without close supervision. You will have a good understanding of teamwork and be able to work conductively within this. You will also have experience of using a variety of Microsoft packages, including Excel.
