Medical Information Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Information Manager to join our team at Merz Aesthetics UK and Ireland. As a key member of our Medical Information Department, you will play a critical role in delivering a high-quality medical information service to external customers and internal colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Governance
- Ensure that our Medical Information Department is fully compliant with GDP, medical device directive guidance, and ABPI code of practice.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining compliance with medical information SOPs.
- Medical Information Services
- Deliver responses to medical information inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update, create, and maintain standard response letters, FAQs, and medical information content for each product as required.
- Team Leadership
- Lead the Medical Information and PV team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Professional Development
- Stay up-to-date with relevant medical information and pharmacovigilance changes and best practices.
- Assess changes to business, systems, and regulation to proactively maintain effective and efficient provision of MI and PV services.
- Process Improvement
- Review and continuously improve MI and PV processes to drive service delivery and productivity.
- IT and Systems
- Maintain the Medical Information system, ensuring that IT systems function correctly and meet departmental needs.
- Liaise with global teams on the implementation of IT systems.
- Qualifications
- Life sciences degree (mandatory).
- Experience
- Experience (5 years+ is desirable) in medical information (mandatory).
- Skills and Knowledge
- Reviewer of medical and marketing materials (mandatory).
- Analytical skills with the ability to understand and simplify complex medical messages.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and accuracy.
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmacovigilance processes (desirable).
