Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ICT Network Manager to join our team at Dorset Council. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing our ICT Network across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice on the feasibility and impact of strategic and tactical changes to ICT Network services.
- Own and manage the Voice and Data Network area, working closely with our Managed Service provider.
- Develop and implement network strategies to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our network remains secure and efficient.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ICT Networks, ideally with related qualifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of network systems and protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
