We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead to join our team at CareTech Community Services Ltd. As a Service Lead, you will be responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day operational management of our care homes, ensuring that available resources are used effectively to provide a high-quality service to our service users.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct the day-to-day operational management of the care home, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Ensure all staff receive regular supervision and adhere to CareTech's Policy and Procedures.
- Work closely with the Service Development Team to select and assess potential new residents.
- Develop and implement dynamic support plans for service users, involving them in the process as much as possible.
- Ensure the care home operates in accordance with statutory requirements and National Minimum Standards.
- Lead risk analysis and develop plans to minimize risk where necessary.
- Ensure the care home provides a safe environment for service users, promoting their personal development.
- Support Senior Managers with Contract Monitoring and provide management information as required.
- Liaise with external agencies and ensure professional communication.
- Work with the Personnel Department to support recruitment and selection of staff.
- Participate in budget formulation and monitor expenditure as required.
- Ensure proper record and administrative systems are in place.
- Manage the Home's petty cash float and service user monies.
- Participate in the Area's on-call management system.
- Ensure good Health and Safety practice and legal requirements are met.
- Communicate effectively within the home, upwards, and sideways.
- Support the Company's Disciplinary and Grievance processes.
- Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and mental health issues.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Confidence to work alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
- Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.
