Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Specialist to join our team at aaa | consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational policies, managing commercial risks, and guiding the Operations team in the use of all commercial policies.

This role involves assisting in the development of business strategies, negotiating contracts with key stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Operational Policies and Processes

  • Create, maintain, and enforce comprehensive policies to manage commercial risks effectively.
  • Guide the Operations team on the appropriate use and application of all commercial policies.
  • Ensure policies align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and Implement Business Strategies

  • Assist in the development of strategic plans to align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Analyse customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and resource allocation to inform strategy.
  • Identify business opportunities and potential markets for growth.
  • Implement and execute approved strategies to drive business performance and profitability.

Negotiate Contracts

  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure favourable terms for the company.
  • Provide guidance on contract variations and terms to ensure legal compliance and commercial viability.
  • Assist the Procurement team where required, ensuring procurement strategies align with overall business goals.

Identify Business Opportunities and Potential Markets

  • Recognise new business opportunities through thorough market analysis.
  • Identify and evaluate potential markets to expand the company's commercial footprint.
  • Provide actionable insights to guide decision-making and support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in commercial operations, contract negotiation, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a deep understanding of contract law.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide teams in policy enforcement and strategic execution.
