About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee our independent retirement housing developments in the Kent region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class management service, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieving targeted profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of Lodge Managers to ensure seamless customer service and operational efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external landlords and residents
  • Controlling expenditure, producing budgets, and accounts for presentation to lessees
  • Negotiating with contractors and overseeing their performance
  • Supporting team members' professional development, conducting regular performance reviews, and leading recruitment processes

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven management experience in leasehold property management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle conflict, problem-solve, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office applications

A recognized property management qualification and membership of RICS or IRPM are advantageous. A full UK driving license is required for this role.
