About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neurology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neurology nursing team, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care and support to patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.

Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with healthcare professionals, and promoting evidence-based practice. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct expert nursing care to patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Initiate emergency treatment and coordinate care with other staff members as needed
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in clinical audits and research initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration
  • Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Masters degree or willingness to work towards
  • Epilepsy management or other neuroscience course
