Singh & Jones Ltd is working with a well-established global facade consultancy that has a strong reputation in the world of facade construction. The company is looking to strengthen its commercial team by recruiting an experienced Facade Engineer with a focus on Curtain Wall and Cladding.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing configurations of basic components of aluminium curtain wall, unitized, and cladding systems, as well as off-site systems. They will also be required to report on pre-existing facade refurbishment works, produce finite element analysis and U-values, and calculate pressures, stresses, and strains on various loads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze configurations of basic components of aluminium curtain wall, unitized, and cladding systems, as well as off-site systems
  • Report on pre-existing facade refurbishment works
  • Produce finite element analysis and U-values
  • Calculate pressures, stresses, and strains on various loads
  • Advise on structural designs and variations
  • Liaise with other designers, including architects and main contractors
  • Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, with a BSc/MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. They will be a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
