About the Role: As a non-stock holding authority, Hertsmere faces unique challenges in addressing local housing demands. In line with the Homelessness Reduction Act, we are expanding our prevention team to advance our service delivery.

This role presents a valuable opportunity to be part of a dynamic Housing Team committed to effectively implementing homelessness prevention strategies. You will play a key role in shaping the service and will have the chance to introduce your own innovative ideas to tackle the challenges we face.

Candidate Profile: We seek an enthusiastic and self-driven individual with a solid understanding of housing issues and relevant legislation. You should possess strong organizational skills to manage a diverse and complex workload. A positive demeanor and a compassionate approach towards clients are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for assisting individuals encountering housing difficulties.

The Housing Stability Officer will collaborate with a small team of professionals dedicated to proactively preventing and alleviating homelessness.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in a housing-related field. However, we are open to providing training opportunities for applicants with limited formal qualifications.

Employment Details: This position is offered as a full-time, fixed-term contract for 14 months, comprising 36 hours per week.
