About the Role

Ares Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Compensation Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our Compensation Business Advisory Group, you will play a critical role in supporting full-cycle compensation activity, ad-hoc analytics, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Compensation Business Advisory Group to develop and implement a competitive compensation strategy, considering market intelligence, firm-wide compensation goals, and business performance.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance Business Partners, and Business Leaders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of compensation needs and develop targeted solutions.
  • Support the development and implementation of compensation grids and ranges, ensuring consistency and equity in compensation decisions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform compensation decisions and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting requirements, including Gender Pay Reporting in the UK and IFPR/AIFMD disclosure requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Compensation Administration teams.
  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing queries and concerns promptly and streamlining compensation processes to ensure best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of analytical or compensation experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Global Compensation experience preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mind and passion for process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and team orientation skills.
  • High accuracy and detail orientation.
  • Good judgment and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
