About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Meadowbrook Inpatient Unit. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership, working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to support complex cases, and contributing to the development of wellbeing strategies for staff.

Meadowbrook is a 67-bedded unit located on the site of Salford Royal Hospital, providing inpatient services for adults of working age. The unit is dynamic and fast-paced, offering a challenging yet supportive environment for our staff.

As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring staff commitment to evidence-based practice and delivering a high-quality service. You will have the necessary skills to lead, support colleagues, and be visible and accessible to staff across all wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the MDT in managing complex cases
  • Contribute to the development of wellbeing strategies for staff, including reducing restrictive practices
  • Support the ward manager in ensuring compliance with CQC standards and completing relevant audits
  • Lead on training for the service, developing and delivering training programs for staff
  • Participate in the local on-call manager rota, providing support to junior staff as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current nursing qualification (RMN) and demonstrable post-registration experience in an acute inpatient setting. You will also need to have experience of designing and running Quality Improvement (QI) projects and coordinating training programs.

As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and developing clinical leadership and practice within the in-patient unit, providing expertise and support as required. You will work closely with the Matron/Operational Manager to ensure an effective and high-quality service provision.
