Job Overview

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide clinical leadership, expert practice, advanced knowledge, and strategic direction on all aspects of adult acute mental health at Meadowbrook.
  • Leading improvements in the quality of care and safety through service development, evaluation, and audit.
  • Improving workforce knowledge and practice through the provision of an inpatient education and training.
  • Ability to practice at an advanced clinical level and exercise high levels of judgement, discretion, and decision-making in clinical care.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Professional qualification RMN/Part 2 NMC.
  • Extensive experience in clinical roles within mental health.
  • Extensive experience within inpatient mental health services.

Desirable criteria

  • Qualifications in Project Management / change management / Quality improvement.
  • Non-medical prescriber.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Extensive knowledge of psychological, social, and biological factors and formulating these into a comprehensive bio-psycho-social formulation and risk management plans.
  • Facilitate a culture of lifelong learning including involvement in the process of clinical supervision.

Desirable criteria

  • Teaching qualification.
  • Clinical supervision/mentorship training.

Work-Related Experience

Essential criteria

  • Able to lead on a series of audits, action plans, and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of leading complex RCA, complaints, and HR investigations.

Desirable criteria

  • Audit and RCA training.
