The Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Customer Delivery team, responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of parcels and packages to our customers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of up to 25 frontline staff to deliver exceptional customer service and meet performance targets
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborating with trade unions to drive performance improvement and employee engagement
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of delivery staff to ensure timely and efficient delivery of parcels and packages
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Collaborating with other departments to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Providing coaching and development opportunities to team members to improve performance and engagement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a logistics or postal services company
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
