About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to bridge gaps in their learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one educational support to students with SEN/SEMH needs or looked-after children (LAC) in a 1:1 setting.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student, focusing on core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science.
  • Work with students at KS3 and KS4 levels, using a range of strategies to engage and motivate them.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for each student.
Requirements
  • Hold QTS or have equivalent experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or SEN/SEMH specialist.
  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Have experience in managing and implementing behaviour strategies to support students with SEN/SEMH needs.
