Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join our team at Absolute Recruit. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations: Oversee the day-to-day financial activities, including purchase and sales ledgers, donations, and Gift Aid reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports for presentation to our clients, including month-end and year-end accounts.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and charity accounting standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a finance manager or similar role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with charity accounting standards and SORP.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well within a small team.
