- No prior insurance knowledge is necessary; comprehensive training and continuous support will be provided, including the option to complete a Level 3 CII apprenticeship.
- Upon successful completion of your probation period, this role will transition to a hybrid model, allowing for 80% remote work and 20% office presence.
Working Hours:
- We offer a 35-hour workweek with shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. Additionally, there are no weekend commitments, and our hybrid working model enables you to work from home for the majority of your time after probation. You may also have the opportunity to increase your contractual hours to 40 per week, with options for condensed hours.

You will gain the essential knowledge and skills to become a proficient Commercial Underwriter, playing a vital role in assisting our commercial clients in safeguarding their businesses against potential risks such as water damage, theft, or property loss.
We will guide you in assessing and evaluating these risks to identify the most suitable insurance coverage for each business, ensuring they are adequately protected under appropriate terms and conditions.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with our NFU Mutual Agencies, who serve as the primary contact for our clients, to manage risks and deliver optimal insurance solutions.
To support your growth, we provide a comprehensive 5–6-month training program that includes classroom instruction, shadowing experienced colleagues, and personalized support from managers and senior team members.
This training is designed to equip you with the expertise needed to excel as an Underwriter.After completing the program, we will continue to support your professional development, offering opportunities to pursue formal insurance qualifications through our apprenticeship scheme if desired.
