Job Summary:

Cameron James is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Insurance broking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure their commercial insurance needs are met
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation and prospecting
  • Work closely with our lead generation team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and maintain existing client relationships
  • Collaborate with our account handlers to provide market presentations and obtain quotations from the market for risks being tendered

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of commercial insurance experience in an account executive or development position
  • Excellent negotiation skills with insurers and prospects
  • A desire to develop new business and grow existing client relationships
  • Ability to meet and exceed targets and KPIs
  • Excellent knowledge of the insurance market and its trends
  • CII or progress towards is desirable

Skills:

  • Commercial general insurance experience within either a broker or insurer environment
  • Capability and experience to deal with significant commercial insurance clients
  • Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills to enhance customer relationships
  • Confidence in negotiation - tackling and addressing insurer objections and achieving the best results for our clients' customers
  • Ability to work enthusiastically and meet timescales
  • Willingness to undertake bespoke internal computer and technical training together with professional examinations as required
