  • Upon successful completion of the probationary period, this role will offer a hybrid working arrangement, with 80% of your time spent working from home and 20% in the office.

Working Hours:
  • We offer a 35-hour workweek with shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. Additionally, there is no weekend work required, and once you complete your probation, you can enjoy the flexibility of working from home for the majority of your time. You will also have the option to increase your hours up to 40 per week, with the possibility of condensed hours.

You will receive the essential knowledge and skills to become a proficient Commercial Underwriter, playing a vital role in assisting our commercial clients in safeguarding their businesses against potential risks such as water damage, theft, or property loss.

We will instruct you on how to assess and analyze these risks to determine the most suitable insurance coverage for each business, ensuring they are adequately protected under appropriate terms and conditions.

You will collaborate closely with our NFU Mutual Agencies, who serve as the primary contact for our clients, to manage risks and deliver optimal insurance solutions.

To support your development, we provide a comprehensive training program lasting 5–6 months, which includes classroom instruction, shadowing experienced colleagues, and personalized guidance from managers and senior team members.

After completing the program, we will continue to support your career advancement, offering the chance to pursue formal insurance qualifications through our apprenticeship scheme if desired.
