The Centre for Electronic Frontiers (CEF) at The University of Edinburgh is looking for an AI Research Associate focused on Electronics Quality Assurance and Verification Automation. The selected individual will engage with the UKRI APRIL AI Hub, contributing to the development of AI solutions aimed at fostering innovation in semiconductor technologies and system architectures. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to participate in a prominent program that is recognized both nationally and internationally.

The AI Research Associate will work collaboratively with a team of experts to devise sophisticated AI capabilities and methodologies that enhance the efficiency of engineers in the design and testing of electronic devices and systems. Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Creating AI solutions for electronics quality assurance.
  • Certifying electronic devices through advanced methodologies.
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies in the field.

Qualifications:

  • A first-class undergraduate degree and a PhD in Electronics or AI.
  • Experience in AI solutions for Electronics Quality Assurance and Verification Automation.
  • Demonstrated research experience in AI and Electronics Quality Assurance.
  • Proven ability to deliver research project outcomes and publish findings in relevant fields.
  • Flexibility and readiness to embrace new challenges.
