Position Overview:

This role is associated with a prominent AI Hub initiative aimed at advancing AI methodologies to foster innovation in semiconductor technologies, pioneering microchip designs, and system architectures. The goal is to facilitate the development of electronics that are faster, more cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of skilled researchers and operational staff to drive the creation of innovative AI capabilities, tools, and strategies that enhance the efficiency of engineers engaged in the design, development, and testing of sophisticated electronic devices and systems. Specifically, the role involves the introduction of AI solutions in electronics testing and verification processes, focusing on predictive analytics for testing protocols.

The position provides opportunities to engage with leading experts in AI and electronics, both within the institution and across other higher education entities, as well as with industry partners, ensuring that research remains relevant to contemporary challenges in the electronics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a 1st class undergraduate degree and a PhD in Electronics or AI, or a closely related field, with demonstrated experience in Electronics Testing and Verification or equivalent industry exposure.
  • Exhibit proficiency in AI tools for automating Electronics Testing and Verification, alongside experience with testing instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate a strong research background in AI, particularly in the context of Electronics Testing and Verification.
  • Showcase a history of delivering impactful research outcomes in Electronics Testing and Verification and/or AI, including peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields.
  • Display adaptability and openness to new concepts, along with a proactive approach to tackling challenges and adjusting strategies as necessary.
