Job Title: Band 5/6 Midwife

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 5/6 Midwife to join our maternity team within our community team. As a key member of our team, you will provide personalized care to women throughout their antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide professional clinical midwifery care to normal healthy women during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages without referral to a medical practitioner.
  • Ensure referral to the appropriate health professional when deviations from the normal occur and work in partnership with that health professional to ensure safe standards of care.
  • Participate in the on-call rota/night duty for community-based care.
Requirements:
  • Nursing or Midwifery degree or equivalent.
  • Registered Midwife.
  • ENB 997/8 or equivalent or to achieve within 1 year.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience as a qualified midwife with all clinical competencies achieved.
  • Clinical experience in a busy NHS hospital (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with technologies commonly used in the NHS (or equivalent).
  • Data collection and audit experience.
  • Experience of working in a community setting.
