Cardiology and Respiratory Services Assistant Manager

Position Overview
The Assistant Service Manager for Cardiology and Respiratory will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining effective systems for the collection and analysis of clinical data related to cardiology and respiratory patients. This position requires proficiency in various healthcare information systems and the ability to manage data efficiently. The individual will serve as the primary support for the Cardiology and Respiratory teams, coordinating meetings, tracking patient pathways, and ensuring the accurate and timely collection of essential data.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Service Manager will be responsible for:
- Coordinating patient follow-ups within the cardiology and respiratory services.
- Managing patient entries into the healthcare database and tracking their progress.
- Providing comprehensive support to clinical staff, ensuring all aspects of patient care are effectively managed.
- Organizing team meetings and facilitating communication among team members.
- Collecting and analyzing data to produce reports and conduct audits as necessary.
- Collaborating with various departments to meet service delivery targets and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the clinical unit. The Assistant Service Manager will also be tasked with preparing statistical reports and liaising with project managers to ensure that all recovery package targets are met.
