Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our Infrastructure projects, working closely with our teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide setting out and engineering control on site, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with our quality standards.
  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities, providing information to operatives and subcontractors as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations, ensuring that all materials are accurately accounted for and that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that all surveying equipment is calibrated, and that our teams have access to the latest technology and tools.
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings, providing accurate and detailed records of our projects.
  • Produce 2D & 3D site sketches, using your expertise to visualize and communicate complex engineering concepts.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring that all works undertaken are in accordance with our Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and that our as-built records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, working closely with our teams to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Control and minimize waste on site, using your expertise to optimize our resources and reduce waste.
  • Read & Interpret data and drawings, using your technical skills to understand complex engineering concepts and communicate effectively with our teams.
