We are seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to join our dynamic team at Insure Recruitment. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality quotations and building strong relationships with broker partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quotation and Underwriting
    • Provide accurate and compliant quotations to broker partners within your authority limits.
    • Ensure timely and efficient underwriting processes, using your expertise to bind quality business and achieve profitable growth.
  • Relationship Building
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners through regular communication and exceptional service.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of new business.
  • Administrative and Technical Support
    • Manage and follow up on insurer surveys, ensuring all deadlines and risk improvement requirements are met.
    • Provide technical support and training to team members, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
  • Business Development
    • Contribute to achieving team and business unit targets, delivering on all monthly KPIs.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and development, working closely with the management team to implement strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong technical knowledge of commercial property insurance, including underwriting guidelines and risk assessment.
    • Understanding of the broker market and ability to develop effective relationships.
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to change, and remain flexible in approach.
    • Proven experience handling new business and existing business with underwriting expertise.
