About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team at GRAHAM Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems for our projects in the Glasgow area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the health and safety of MEP works and associated subcontractors.
  2. Coordinate with the construction project manager and project planner to ensure the project schedule is sequenced correctly and updated regularly.
  3. Work with other construction managers or project managers to ensure works are progressing on schedule and in sequence.
  4. Review progress reports from each MEP subcontractor to track the status of each task.
  5. Collaborate with our building services managers regarding technical issues arising on the projects.
  6. Carry out progress reporting on MEP installations for feeding into the main client progress reports.
  7. Monitor MEP subcontractors' resource and material availability for scheduled upcoming works.
  8. Schedule meetings with MEP subcontractors, clients, or other stakeholders to discuss project objectives and requirements.
  9. Manage a team of MEP supervisors, MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in the project.
  10. Work with the commercial team to monitor MEP payment applications throughout the project to ensure claims accurately reflect works complete and due.
Requirements
  1. Candidate should come from either a mechanical or electrical services background in the industrial and commercial installations sector.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanical or electrical construction/project manager with project experience upwards of £5 million M&E.
  3. HNC/HND qualifications in either mechanical/electrical/building services or construction management.
Desirable Skills
  1. Hands-on experience from a trade contractor background.
  2. Planning and prioritizing: Plans and prioritizes around departmental/team objectives. Able to identify opportunities and problems in the medium and long term and develop new approaches.
  3. People management and team leadership: Coordinating with the team towards achieving objectives and accomplishing tasks.
  4. Safety awareness: Displaying a good knowledge of safety policies and procedures and working according to safety rules and regulations as set by the organization towards a safe working environment.
