Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Case Worker to join our Adults Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing incoming safeguarding referrals, working closely with partner agencies, and providing effective and compassionate support to adults at risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of complex safeguarding cases, prioritizing and allocating resources to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, including the police and health service, to gather information and make informed decisions.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to Case Workers, promoting best practice and continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Care Act duties.
  • Participate in regular supervision and mentoring sessions, receiving feedback and guidance to enhance performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience of using digital technology to support work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with a commitment to promoting Making Safeguarding Personal.
  • Experience of working in a social care or health setting, with a strong understanding of adult safeguarding principles.
