About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sense, a leading charity that supports people with complex disabilities and deafblindness.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live fulfilling lives and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with complex disabilities and deafblindness
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, cooking, and cleaning
  • Support individuals to participate in engaging activities, such as arts, sports, and wellbeing programs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, promoting independence and choice
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and a can-do approach
  • Caring, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving license (desirable)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments and learning difficulties (desirable)
