We deliver customized guidance across all taxation domains, assisting our clients in navigating the intricacies of tax regulations, often across multiple jurisdictions. Our aim is to help them meet their obligations and ensure they are paying the appropriate amount of tax. This approach allows us to mitigate significant financial and reputational risks while enabling informed decision-making regarding their tax situations, whether they are individuals, business owners, or corporate entities. Additionally, we assist clients in swiftly resolving any disputes with tax authorities.
Role Overview
As a Senior Manager in our National Tax Reporting team, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Establishing enduring relationships with a portfolio of clients for which you will be accountable.
- Leading the Tax Reporting team based in Milton Keynes, offering guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to maximize their career prospects.
- Reviewing and approving corporate tax computations and tax accounting, along with conducting some tax assurance reviews. Engaging in ad-hoc advisory tasks that naturally arise from your reporting duties.
- Negotiating timelines and fees while managing work-in-progress for your client portfolio.
- Proactively discussing tax opportunities relevant to clients and collaborating with tax partners and the broader tax team to execute such initiatives.
- Actively participating in the national Tax Reporting Team, ensuring that national procedures are implemented and adhered to in Milton Keynes.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience managing a client portfolio to fulfill annual Tax Reporting obligations.
- Demonstrated comprehensive technical tax knowledge and expertise.
- Effective collaboration within a larger team, with a proactive approach to managing all team members.
- Broad experience in managing client financials, setting timelines, adhering to budgets, and negotiating fees.
- Proven ability to identify business development opportunities within tax clients (preferably across other service lines).
- Willingness to embrace leadership roles both within Milton Keynes and across the national Tax Reporting team.
- Commitment to fostering the development of junior staff through mentorship.
