Key Responsibilities: As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in aiding students with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Your primary duties will encompass:

  • Applying trauma-informed methodologies to establish a secure and encouraging learning space.
  • Offering individualized and group support to students, assisting them in managing their emotions and behaviours.
  • Building and sustaining trustworthy relationships with students to foster rapport and confidence.
  • Collaborating with educators, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), and other personnel to devise and execute effective support strategies.
  • Employing positive behaviour management techniques to assist students in navigating daily challenges.
  • Motivating and guiding students towards achieving their academic and personal aspirations.
  • Tracking and documenting student progress and modifying support plans as necessary.

  • Expertise and experience in trauma-informed practices and behavioural management.
  • A sincere passion for supporting children who have encountered challenges in conventional schooling.
  • Outstanding empathy, resilience, and patience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The capacity to establish trustworthy connections with students and effectively handle challenging situations.
  • A proactive and optimistic approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

All remuneration rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
