About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Pioneer Selection. This role offers the opportunity to shape and promote a proactive health and safety environment, ensuring the highest standards across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the evolution of our Safety Management System, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Be the dominant lead for the Safety Star Programme, championing personal health and safety across the workforce and promoting a culture of accountability.
  • Provide specialist health and safety knowledge and support to all personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to perform their roles safely.
  • Develop and coordinate the delivery of comprehensive safety training programmes, tailored to meet the needs of our employees and the organization.
  • Work with our global sites to share best practices and implement safety visions aligned with company policies and objectives.
  • Develop systems to encourage personal ownership of safety, ensuring both personal and process safety performance remains flawless and meets the highest standards.
  • Take charge of high-risk employee management, scenario training, and hazard/operability studies on critical processes, ensuring the safety of our employees and the organization.
  • Own and lead the Safety Steering Committee, providing clear direction and leadership for safety sub-committees and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement in personal and process safety, ensuring the highest levels of compliance and safe behaviors across the organization.
  • Regularly audit work areas, engaging directly with employees to understand and mitigate potential risks and hazards.
  • Manage incident/accident investigations, ensuring safety reports are compiled, shared, and used to inform future prevention measures and improve safety performance.
