Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Lead C&I Engineer to join our team in Pembroke Dock, West Wales. The successful candidate will lead the C&I team, focusing on technical quality and delivery of technical documents within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the C&I team, ensuring technical quality and delivery of technical documents.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, including calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets, and drawings.
  • Support the preparation and review of drawings, including general arrangements, cable routes, block diagrams, loop sheets, and hook-ups.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Make technical decisions on projects.
  • Coordinate C&I activities with other disciplines.
  • Attend internal and external project review meetings.
  • Monitor changes in scope of work and raise change notifications with the Project Manager.
  • Contribute to project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Identify the scope of work required for a project and allocate C&I resources.
  • Estimate deliverables and hours required to complete a project.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
  • Significant experience in detailed design engineering.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and approving instrument deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication systems.
  • Competent in MS Office applications.
