Senior Planner

We now have an opportunity for a motivated and suitably qualified Senior Planner to join our team based in Pembroke Dock, in West Wales.


Key competencies, skills and knowledge required:

  • Proficient with P6 Primavera and MS Project.
  • Proven experience in an engineering design and/or planning role preferred.
  • Experience using Power BI preferred but not essential.
  • Planning and organising, communication, team working, and problem solving.
  • Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.
  • Degree in engineering discipline desirable


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of complex project schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project – maintain the cost and resource loading of each schedule.
  • Be able to update project schedules, monitor critical path activities, key milestones and end dates, and assist the company project team in the notification of potential early warnings.
  • Provide support and planning services for project engineering activities as required, ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated.
  • Provide information to enable forecast of budget costs and cash flow projections.
  • Ownership of company resource planning.
  • Prepare updates of the project schedules within agreed time frames and report progress to project managers.
  • Support Project Managers in reporting key schedule information and analysis.
  • Key Milestone Management.
  • Monitor the implementation of programme policies and practices.
  • Collaborate as part of the project engineering team.
  • Check plans and updates carried out by other Planners.
  • Work closely with engineering disciplines to ensure project forecasts are accurate.
